How did the "singLOVÉ" project come about?

My name is Martina Holoušová and I am the creator of singLOVÉ, a project for single people. Whenever I mention that I organise events for singles, most people assume that I’m single myself and that I’m primarily looking for a partner for my own benefit. I’d like to set the record straight and share my story with you. In fact, the opposite is true.

Since 2016, I’ve been happily settled with the same man—someone who supports me in what I do and loves me just the way I am :-). Over the years, we’ve been through highs and lows, and now we are building a stable relationship, planning our future, and I can truly say I am happy. But what came before all this?

When I was 28, I experienced being single for the first time after a 10-year relationship. I had to learn how to be alone with myself—something I hadn't known at all. I became convinced that "all the good ones are taken," but I can assure you that plenty of amazing people are single! I meet them at our events every day.

The important thing for me back then was to realise that I am the creator of my life, not a victim. I travelled, tried new things, met new people, and eventually found my partner. I want to help you do the same.

Dating in Brno

For some, dating is simple. For the rest of us, it can feel like a puzzle. If you want to meet someone, you need to go where you feel "like a fish in water." People are at their most attractive when they are truly passionate about something.

Where to meet people in Brno:

  • Cookery Schools: Perfect for foodies and "amateur" chefs.
  • Picnic Brno: Monthly gatherings in the park.
  • Language Meetings: Try the Stammtisch or English Meeting in Brno.
  • Dance Halls: Salsa under Petrov or the Savoy café.
  • Impact Hub: Great for networking through games and shared projects.

Love should make life simpler, not the other way around. Here are a few book tips to help you clear your head while lounging on a blanket by the water:

  • Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus – John Gray
  • Why Men Don't Listen and Women Can't Read Maps – B. & A. Pease
  • Why Men Love Bitches – Sherry Argov (Highly recommended!)
  • The Way of the Superior Man – David Deida

So, you’re now all set with some great summer reading. We wish you a wonderful read and look forward to seeing you at one of our events! ;-)
