How to attract a partner into your life using Feng Shui
We’ve all been spending more time at home than usual lately. Some have been cleaning, others sorting through their wardrobes. Where we live and what we surround ourselves with has a significant impact on us. According to the teachings of Feng Shui, reorganising your home can actually help attract a new partner into your life.
Before you dismiss this as "spiritual nonsense," it’s actually quite logical. We have to make room for a future partner in our lives—quite literally! :-)
There’s no need for a massive renovation; small things are enough. The most important room is the bedroom, as it reflects the state of our love life. What does yours look like, and how do you feel in it? Is it cluttered with things you don't need that are just gathering dust? Has the bulb in your bedside lamp been blown for two months because you "haven't had time" to change it? Are your windows dirty, or are there cobwebs in the corners?
In Feng Shui, anything dysfunctional in our home represents areas of our life that aren't working as they should. It’s all about the correct flow of life energy (Chi), which enters through the windows—so keep them clean! Dust, cobwebs, and dirt suggest neglect; you definitely don’t want that in your bedroom! By tidying up, you revitalise your love life.
Feng Shui divides rooms into several zones. If you stand in the doorway, the far right corner is the Partnership Zone, the far left is Abundance, the near left is Wisdom, the near right is Friendship, and the centre of the room is the Health Zone.
Let’s focus on the bedroom again. The back-right corner (from the door) relates to relationships. If you let clutter pile up there, that chaos will bleed into your love life. Does your bedroom radiate duality? It is a great idea to place items in pairs in that back-right corner. To attract a partner, avoid single items like a lone lamp; instead, use symbols of love, or candles in even numbers.
You need to prepare your bedroom for a new arrival. Check if there is even space for someone else. If you sleep on a narrow sofa or sprawl diagonally across the bed, it looks like you aren't expecting company! Change your habits and sleep in a way that always leaves enough room beside you.
Feng Shui requires open space so that energy can circulate freely. Many of us have a habit of hoarding unnecessary things. Use your free time to go through everything one last time and then get rid of it ruthlessly. Anything that reminds you of past relationships that didn't end well has to go. Clear away obstacles near the bedroom entrance, and empty a shelf in the wardrobe or a drawer so a future partner actually has somewhere to put their things.
In short: give your bedroom a detox. You’ll find you breathe and sleep better, and you’ll have the peace of mind that you’ve created space for a new partner—both in your head and in your home.
