singLOVÉ is celebrating 2 years!
In the beginning, there was a thought, an idea, a dream: to create something in Brno that was missing and to help single people find each other.
I decided that I would create opportunities and the right environment for singles from Brno and the surrounding areas to spend their time in an interesting way while getting to know someone new. I’ll be honest with you—it was quite a challenge! :-)
Now, the singLOVÉ project has celebrated its 2nd anniversary and 25 completed events! To give you an idea, we’ve organised things like:
- Dance lessons and picnics
- Self-defence classes and photography workshops
- Meetups for dog lovers and travellers
- Golf outings and tastings (coffee, wine, chocolate, or tea)
- Christmas biscuit baking sessions
I know of several couples who have got together thanks to us (one couple even in the 40+ age group). Because Brno is essentially just a slightly larger village, I often bump into them at the theatre or on the tram, and it brings me incredible joy! We can even boast our very first engaged couple! :-)
We have over 500 followers on Facebook, and nearly two hundred newsletter subscribers are kept regularly informed about upcoming events. A new addition since this June is our English-language events for single expats and Czechs who want to chat in English and meet new faces from different cultures. And even in this category, we already have a newly formed couple!
Next year, I’d like to expand the project even further, and I’m preparing a few more surprises—but more on that next time ;-).
For now, I’m looking forward to our upcoming events, which include a Beer Excursion and a Riding Academy in both Czech and English.
