Where to meet someone this summer?

Dating is easier in the summer

Research confirms it. Thanks to the sunshine, the body produces more dopamine and serotonin. Everyone is in a better mood and shifted into "holiday mode"—even if they haven't been in school for years—making dating feel almost effortless. It’s also because we don’t want to spend beautiful sunny days alone, and let's be honest, our libido tends to increase too.

Higher temperatures and sunbeams give us more positive energy, making us more attractive to those around us. During the holidays, we spend much more time outdoors among people, so the chance of meeting someone interesting naturally grows.

Where to meet?

Even if it doesn't seem like it right now, there are plenty of opportunities—and twice as many in the summer. Everyone is more active, heading out, going on trips, and trying new things.

A survey in our Facebook group revealed that single people most enjoy participating in gastro events (so hurry to a tasting or a food festival!) or travelling and spending time outdoors. A BBQ with friends and trips around the UK are summer must-haves. Cultural events aren't far behind either.

Music festivals and outdoor concerts are also ideal for meeting people. Don't turn down invitations to birthday celebrations, picnics, weddings, or spontaneous parties with friends. Have you tried paddleboarding or any other non-traditional summer sport? What about canoeing or camping?

You can even start a conversation while waiting in line for ice cream or for tickets to a castle.

If you're in Brno, you can also head out to one of our events for singles.

And how do you start the conversation? How do you approach someone? More on that next time! ;-)
